As we embark on a journey of growth, we are on the lookout for our next Supply Chain Team Leader, who is responsible for managing our supply chain and ensuring that all items are ordered and delivered on time. Furthermore, the role will be working closely with our procurement, warehouse and production teams ensuring smooth operations and flow of goods, optimum stock levels and supplier performance.
Every day is different at TBF, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
- Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Evaluate and report on KPIs
- Investigate trends outside of forecast
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Maintain supply chain inventory and records
- Train and guide employees
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
- Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Stock is managed to avoid inefficiently large quantities that take up excessive space, whilst holding at least 3-5 days cover plus lead-time
- Internal stakeholders are updated where necessary with sufficient information relating to stock relevant to them
- Suppliers are communicated with consistently where necessary to ensure information on delivery disruptions is well-managed and minimised if possible
- OTIF Reports issued managing Inbound Service levels
To be successful in this role you must:
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP MM)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving
- A strategic and analytical mind
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to adapt to unexpected circumstances and manage time effectively
