Buyer - Dairy and Fats

The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery that makes deliciously crafted bread, cakes, and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL’s bakeries, neighbourhood grocery stores, restaurants, and more!

As our teams grow, we are looking for our next Buyer to join our team.

Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:

• Manage the full procurement process including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection and negotiation, contract implementation, and supplier performance review on ingredients.
• Manage the dairy ingredients categories, and retender as appropriate, according to crop calendars and seasonality.
• Actively maintain live knowledge of supply markets and develop/ implement buying strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitoring KPIs such as price competitiveness, quality, and service level.
• Support NPD and Marketing plans by sourcing new products for launches.
• Liaise with the Production, Purchasing, NPD, Finance, Technical, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure the smooth running of the business.
