As our teams grow, we are on the lookout for our next Supplier Assurance and Raw Materials Manager to join our team.


Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:


  • Support Business and Technical Team with supplier assurance, auditing, and management risk assess and control Raw Materials for the TBF and Gail’s Business.
  • Device and Implement a supply-based risk assessment and raw material protocol.
  • Engaged with suppliers to build relationships, ensure food safety and quality, and strengthen our business position on all matters relating to Raw Materials.
  • Ensure the highest standards of compliance and food safety within the raw material supply base.
  • Manage and Close out all Supplier related Non-Conformances.
  • Work along side the site technical leads to ensure that all Raw Material issues are reviewed, investigated, and closed out in line with the requirements of our customers and third-party certification bodies.
  • Ensure all supplier audits are completed and closed out in accordance with the business supplier risk assessment procedure.
  • Support and Develop our small artisan supply base to ensure we maintain the correct level of food safety and compliance
  • Support site technical team on all matters relating to raw materials and risk assessment during external audits
  • Support procurement and supply chain in the assessment and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Working alongside Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure the business supplier strategy is achieved.
  • TACCP/VACCP


Key Performance indicators


  • All audits and customer audits are to be AA grade or GREEN status.
  • All supplier Non-Conformances closed out in the agreed timescales.
  • All new and existing suppliers to be risk assessed and reviewed in accordance with the business requirements

  • BSc or above professional qualification in Food Safety or similar field (Desirable)
  • 5+ years high risk food manufacturing experience, preferably in a Supplier Assurance/Supplier Auditing Role.
  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Lead Audit Qualification (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in working with BRCGS and Auditing
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
