The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery that makes deliciously crafted bread, cakes, and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL’s bakeries, neighborhood grocery stores, restaurants, and more!


As our teams grow, we seek our next Junior Learning Designer based at our site in Hendon.


Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:


  • Own the design of learning tools and content that is up-to-date, relevant, and impactful, using RISE (digital learning platform) as the vehicle for learning
  • Use instructional design and the latest learning technology to create impactful eLearning and other blended learning resources
  • Partner with GAIL’s learning design team to ensure all learning meets brand standards and in alignment with our strategy
  • Design and facilitate ‘welcome days’ and ‘Grand Tour’ inductions for new employees
  • Create learning materials that support key development programs we offer e.g. BreadYOUcation
  • Receive, monitor, and evaluate feedback from learning interventions for continuous improvement and engagement
  • Prepare monthly reports for training that provide accurate data for compliance reporting and other L&D activities
  • Provide KPI data for monthly board reports

  • Partner on apprenticeships to support with design and administrative tasks that support the delivery of the programmes
  • Ensure content on RISE (LMS) meets the compliance training needs of the business and ensure RISE is consistently reviewed and updated where necessary
  • Support business projects where learning design is required
  • Project manage your learning projects as well as the learning design side of other business projects

  • Excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Helpful to have Canva and In-design skills
  • Working knowledge of articulate and RISE 360 eLearning design tools
  • Strong project management skills to create timelines and workflows
  • Have the ability to use your initiative, be proactive, and work to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional eye for detail and accuracy with a double-check mentality, excellent organisation skills
  • Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Be friendly, enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated, with a collaboration, partnering, and team mindset
  • A passion for learning and proactive about keeping yourself up to date with the latest trends in learning design
  • Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be driven to continually learn and improve
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • eLearning design/digital learning design skills and knowledge with motivation, drive, and a learning mindset

This role is based in Hendon (NW9 6AQ) with some travel to our satellite sites in Milton Keynes and St. Albans, Manchester, and Bath when required
